Wow Air is looking for four Snapchat creatives to take over the brand’s Snapchat channel. Lucky winners will first head to Iceland to meet with the airline’s marketing team and then be whisked off on an all-expense paid trip to one of its 28 destinations for up to a week. Winners have to promote their experience on Wow Air’s social media accounts, including Snapchat. To enter, the airline is asking people to submit a Snapchat story (in English) on its website. Wow Air says it’s looking for “someone creative, ambitious and fun with a passion for travel, good Snapchat storytelling abilities and of course, the Wow factor.” LINK

Social platforms are where we’ll watch the OlympicsSnapchat will set up a dedicated channel on the mobile app for the games in Rio De Janeiro. Media company BuzzFeed will curate short clips and behind-the-scenes content into a Discover channel on the app for two weeks, while Snapchat creates daily “live stories” using content from NBC, athletes and sports fans at the scene. It’s a growing trend: First, NFL games streaming on Twitter, now Olympics highlights on Snapchat. And now Amazon (see their new sports group) may be next. LINK
